I was only able to fish 3 days this week so I don't have quite as much to report. We hit the upper lakes for pike again and found great success. We did things pretty much exactly the same as last week. We fished shallow flats with tip ups and minnows 6-10" off the bottom.
One thing I noticed when we were out fishing these flats is allot of the other fisherman fishing near us were keeping there tip-ups very close to them. There is no structure on these flats, so the pike are simply roaming around in search of food. In situations like this it really pays to spread your tip ups out as far as you can in order to cover more water.
