We fished on the Fox River in Depere Thursday through Sunday and caught good numbers of walleye.
Thursday and Friday we caught our fish drifting and vertical jigging in around 10 feet of water. No particular color seemed to be best. We had about equal success on minnows as well as twister tails.
Saturday and Sunday we fished shallow in an attempt to stay away from the crowd. We pitched jigs tipped with twister tails or minnows in 3-6 feet of water. I also caught a few casting #5 shad raps in the same areas.
Overall we caught about 150 walleye, with the biggest being around 25 inches.
Good Luck out there!
