The bite early this week, from Monday through Thursday was phenomenal with double digit catches coming easily everyday.
We caught those fish nearly anywhere, on the calmer days we did very well trolling the mud with reef runners and shad raps. All week, anything pink, purple, or blue was pulling in fish for me. On the windier days we did quite well anchoring and pitching jigs on the reefs.
The bite died of a little after the storms moved through on Friday afternoon. We still got some fish, but had to work much harder to find them and even harder to get them to bite.
Good luck out there!
My marine radio is back up and running, so if anyone is looking for a midweek report call for the walleye hunter on 68. I will be out every day this week.
