Report for February 15th, 2009

This week I spent all my time on the upper lakes, I didn't make it out to Lake Winnebago at all. We mostly fished for northern. I found the bite this week to be slower than last week, but still managed to ice a few northern.

We caught northern again in 2-4 feet of water. This week we left the creek mouths and fished whatever weeds we could find. Caught fish on tip ups set 6-10" off the bottom with lively bait. Dead bait was a no go again.

We also spent a day fishing for perch. We found good numbers of fish, but they were somewhat lacking in size. Tried for them in the same areas we fished for northern, 2-4 feet of water around weeds. Caught fish on small jigs tipped with spikes or wax worms.

Good luck out there to everyone!
