I fished a couple times this last week out on Winnebago in the Menasha area and a couple times out on Lake Poygan. I found the bite on Winnebago to be somewhat slow but we still managed to scrape up a few fish each day. Most of the walleye we caught in the Menasha area were caught long line trolling #7 shad raps. The baits had to be right on the bottom in order to get fish.
When we fished Lake Poygan the bite was hot. We caught good numbers of walleye both days we fished there. We caught all our fish trolling crank baits behind planner boards. Just about every bait produced some walleye, but anything perch colored was really hot.
Good luck out there!
