I've been out fishing just about every day this month so far and have mixed reports.
For Winnebago we have been having a hard time getting on a good bite up in the Menasha area. The reefs have been giving up a few fish but the action has been spotty. Trolling in that area has been hit and miss as well for me. The action we have gotten trolling has been on reef runners and thunder sticks.
The much more consistent bite is on the upper lakes. We have had good catches of walleye, with plenty of crappie and northern thrown in as well. All the fish we've gotten on the upper lakes have been trolling. #5 shad raps and flicker shads have been working well. The hot color has been different most days, but you can't go wrong with a Hollywood flicker shad right now.
