The bite this week was red hot on the upper stretches of the Wolf River! We were catching great numbers of eater sized walleye anywhere between New London and Shiocton. We were also getting quite a few white bass starting to mix in with the walleye. Every fish we caught this week was taken casting either #5 Shad Raps or #5 Flicker Shads into shallow current break areas.
With the extremely low water this spring a good number of walleye were forced to swim all the way up to Shawano to spawn. I would expect these fish to be trickling back down the Wolf river for at least a couple weeks yet.
We made a video this week explaining how we have been targeting these fish. Check it out at... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DA7M-mj1LYU
