Fishing Report for March 12th, 2011

The ice has almost completely disappeared from the Fox River in Depere and the docks are in at the local boat ramp. Right now the water is very clear and the current is running very very slow. The bite has been down right amazing if you are willing to adapt your fishing style a bit to match the conditions.

The best action has been in around 10 fow on either channel edges or flats. We have been using 1/8 ounce jigs tipped with either a live fathead minnow or a 3" Gulp minnow bait. The winning presentation has been to cast the jig as far out from the boat as possible and slowly drag it back.
