With the warming temperatures and increased snowfall many of the local rivers are starting to thaw out. The Fox River in Depere and Green Bay is mostly open now, with a lot of ice still holding onto the shorelines. It is possible to launch a boat at the mouth of the river but ice jams prevent traveling too far upstream.
There is more warmth and rain in the local forecast so I would guess the river will be clear of ice by next weekend!
