Fishing Report for March 22nd, 2011

Fishing this last week was rather uncertain with changing conditions and a lot of run off finding its way into the river. Early in the week the bite was amazing with some triple digit catches. However later in the week several warm days with some rain melted most of the snow and caused the water in the river to turn to chocolate milk. With visibility under a few inches the bite suffered. All week we were catching good numbers of fish drifting main channels anywhere from 15-35 feet deep with 1/4 ounce jigs and minnows. Once the water dirtied up we had good luck with jigs that included a rattle or a blade for a little extra attraction.
