The fishing on Green Bay and the Winnebago system has been very up and down the past couple of weeks depending upon the weather. Some days the bite has been very good and others it has been tougher.
On the Winnebago system Lake Poygan and Lake Winneconne have been the hotspots. Trolling #5 flicker shads and #5 shad raps around 30 feet behind planer boards has been productive for walleye and white bass.
On Green Bay the walleyes have been biting on crawler harnesses behind bottom bouncers at a variety of depths. The key to catching fish seems to be finding clear water as much of the Bay is murky right now.
The White Bass bite up on the Wolf River has also been going very strong. We have been getting huge numbers targeting current break areas. The fish have been biting on either Flicker Shads casted into shallow water or 1/8 orange jigs tipped with a power bait minnow.
