Fishing Report for June 17th 2011

The fishing out on Lake Winnebago has had its ups and downs over the past couple weeks. The fishing has been very hot some days and very slow others. The bite has been most dependent on the weather, the water has been fairly clear so on calm sunny days the bite has been very tough. On days with clouds or wave action the bite has been fairly productive casting 1/8 ounce jigs tipped with crawlers up onto the various west side rock piles.

The Bay of Green Bay as been very hot over the past few weeks. Numbers have been great with a few decent fish thrown in. We have been catching these fish either trolling shallow sand/mud areas in around 5 fow or trolling over various rock piles. We have been trolling with either crawler harnesses or flicker shads and both have worked well depending on the day.
